Having only a bare 15 players we went to Bracknell to play the away leg of the league. Unfortunately due to another under 15 match also being hosted by Bracknell training space was limited to say the least but we still managed the warm up section.

Aldermaston mustered our meager resources for the away match to Reading. Mr Harris re-shuffled the 14 players we had, and I begged and borrowed a winger from Reading (Archie) to make the 15th man. And so it began....

Maidenhead U15B v Aldermaston U15 PDF Print E-mail

This was the return leg of the league structure, this time with our boys playing away; we had a full team with four subs, all of which were fired up and more than ready for the game.  Unfortunately the ref that was booked by the home team felt he could not take on two back to back games as requested by Maidenhead. (Because there are now two divisions it was requested that they play this way as only one pitch available) This left the ‘B’ game with no ref. Maidenheads Head coach to his credit offered to take up the mantle....!!!!

U14's vs Maidenhead 'B' PDF Print E-mail

Our first chance of competitive rugby in 2010 on a playable pitch with a squad of 18 on paper, thank you Santa! The lads were raring to go as the pre-game team talk and warm up got underway. We lost a couple of players before we got going, but still ended up with a full 15 and a sub.

Maidenhead ‘B’ turned up with a full squad and a handful of large replacements. They likewise hadn’t played or trained due to the recent poor weather, so were excited to play a game.

ALDERMASTON RFC U14/15s TOUR 2010  Bonus Ball Competition

This is a great fund raiser for two reasons:
1.  The competition gives everyone a good chance of winning something – so makes it easier to approach people. £10 to enter for 10 weeks, and someone will win £25 each week guaranteed!!
2.  Good to involve people from outside the club.  Sell this to friends, grand-parents, aunts, uncles – take it into work. If you take the time to explain the competition and people understand they can win they are usually more than happy to sign up.
