Aldermaston RFC play at the Recreational Society of the AWE in Aldermaston, for players in the Reading, Basingstoke and Newbury area.
Aldermaston Rugby Club has its own Clubhouse which is a standalone facility comprising bar, kitchens, lounge area and BBQ area, just to the right of the AWE Recreational Society main entrance where visitors and spectators are welcome every Saturday during the season. The bar is stocked with draught and bottled beers and lagers, a selection of spirits and a healthy range of soft drinks. The clubhouse has become increasingly popular with parents of our junior players during Sunday morning playing sessions to enjoy a coffee in peace.

We currently have over 200 members and offer Seniors, Youth and Minis rugby in a warm friendly family orientated Club. We have recently been awarded Community Development Partnership status by local Premiership side London Irish. League Rugby is currently played in Berks, Bucks & Oxon Division 1 (South), and we also field a regular 2nd team playing in the Thames Valley Invitation League, comprising old and young players who play their matches against teams of a similar standing in the region. We also have an under 16's/ Colts team (Aldermaston Lions) playing North Hampshire/Berkshire clubs and a mini’s section playing local clubs from the under 6 age group upwards. The Rugby season runs from August to May with an annual dinner dance at the end of the season held in the Rec. Soc., as well as many planned social days and nights in our own facility. The season sees the team travel as far as Oxford and Slough, whilst the majority of games are played in the Reading area. Club Training nights are Tuesday and Thursday 6.30pm - 8.30pm with the Youth and Mini’s section training on a Sunday from 10:30 to 12:00. Interested players of all ages and abilities are welcome to just turn up on club nights and join in with the squad. |
