Three of our current U14/U15 players attended the London Irish Halfbacks master class (Fly Half/Scrum Half in new money!) at the spiritual home of LI in Sunbury.
Despite a wet and cold day; our lads had a great session - mixing with London Irish academy players and other players from Hampshire and Berkshire. The lads were coached by LI’s community support coaches, with some expert tuition on box kicking, cross field kicking, one hand/both-handed passing drills and all accompanied by classic coaching phrases like ‘What do skills do....? Pay the bills!!’ We also managed to bump into some LI players: Peter Richards, Mike Catt, Ryan Lamb and Steffon Armitage to name a few. The day has been captured on film; No apologies for it being the Dan, Sam and Gregg show, but you can have a look at the lads practicing ball handling, decision making, long passing skills and kicking drills.
